If an odometer is not initialized in a vehicle, it will just report GPS miles traveled since installation. You can synchronize odometers by updating them so they will track properly.
You can compile a list of vehicles from MyGeotab by using the “Report’ button in the top right corner to output vehicles and their current odometer. Odometers that show zero or a very low number will be suspect.
For any of these vehicles, we can simply click on the vehicle and type current value into Odometer, and it will reset the odometer to track GPS miles and readings from that point forward and maintain it.
This is only necessary if the ECM does not output the mileage when it’s plugged in initially.
