The following document details the process of using the Eleos messaging feature from the perspective of a driver within the mobile application.
Messages can be found in multiple places on the application. On the dashboard, there is a messages placard as shown in the red box in the screenshot below. The placard will display a few recent conversations that can be selected individually. There is also a “view all messages” button that can be selected from that same Messages placard. Similarly, there is a messages icon in the grey bar at the bottom of the application that will navigate to the same screen as the “view all messages” button.
To start a new conversation, click on the envelope icon with a plus sign in the upper right corner of the Messages screen, as shown in the red box in the screenshot below.
Note: Depending on your application and your organization, there may or may not be a field (as highlighted in the red box in the screenshot below) in the new message window that changes the desired contact that the message will be sent to.
Below is a screenshot of an example of a conversation between a driver and Settlements personnel in progress. To switch to a different conversation, simply select it from the lest on the left of the page.
Note: Due to in-motion locking, you will not be able to send or read a message while driving, however a new message comes in as a notification and the first 250 characters will be read out loud to you.
